Any students from Toronto (or another big city) will love this place. The problem I find with many Thai/Cambodian/Japanese/Korean/Vietnamese restaurants in Kingston is that you're getting ripped off. $12 of Asian cuisine will be of much better quality in Toronto than it will be in Kingston. There is food in Kingston that is of decent quality, but then you're paying $16 or even $20. This is not true for Royal Angkor. $10 or $12 is just as good as what you get in the big city, for the same price. (I don't mean to slight Kingston in any way. Of course, Toronto has its own wealth of bad Asian resturants. I'm just comparing the best of what both cities have to offer.)
The food was a bit late because the delivery person became confused and tried to deliver to the wrong building. The food, however, more than made up for this. The spring rolls were incredible - they have the perfect hint of spiciness to them. The Phad Thai was also very good. Not only was the food amazing, but the portions were good and the prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely order from them again.
The food is excellent. The rstaurant is cramped, the furniture and decor are boring. Still my favourite place for cambodian/Thai food.
Service is getting bad day by day. The chef was quite rude to us actually. Oh well.
