It's strange to find a comfortable place to eat...
It's strange to find a comfortable place to eat in downtown Brantford, but My Thai manages it.
They've renovated a great deal since this buildings' days as one pub or another. (I remember its short life as the Pelican and the live shows and pro wrestling exhibitions held in the back!) Beautiful interior, never too tightly packed with tables, and lots of room for almost any size gathering.
The food is fine, served promptly, hot and with a good variety of flavours. Our waitress in particular was excellent, informing us on our choices and checking in several times to see how our evening was progressing.
A very nice meal overall, and I would recommend My Thai to anyone who finds themselves in downtown Brantford.

I had tried Thai food before and loved it and I was craving Pad Thai so I thought why not? I mean, honestly downtown Brantford isn't exactly an appealing area as far as location..kinda scummy, but I really wanted Thai and it's the only restaurant in town...but I digress
I was seated and ordered and while I waited for my food I noted the dingy surroundings, insufficient and misplaced lighting and realized that the place COULD be have a great atmosphere if they did a little work.
My appetizer arrived hot and very tasty. I loved the dipping sauce for the springrolls. Soon after I was finished my app, the Pad Thai arrived. It was delicious! Very tasty, well prepared and presented :) Thanks for the great meal My-Thai. Clean up your surroundings, brighten up the inside of your restaurant with lighter paint colours and proper lighting, or consider a move to a more attractive area of town and I really think your business will grow :)
I have been there a few times and the services and food is consistantly really good. The atmosphere is really nice for a date or hanging out with friends for drinks.

Food was excellent and the atmosphere was great for a girls night out! Dishes are served in such a way that they can easily be shared amoung guests - so you could try more than one dish!
