As soon as you walk in you can tell the owners don’t really care much about the store there were several racks pushed over and left there, when I inquired about a certain wig the worker basically told me I couldn’t have it because I was too short and pressured me into buying another one that I really didn’t like, neglected to tell me the price and charged me what I assume to be double the actual price seeing as though it was a short synthetic wig. Never shop here.
The owner is very unethical! I witnessed someone get charged $10 for an item that was marked $6.90 on the shelves!
I would advise anyone to first look around before shopping at Nyla’s and even then, watch the shelf and cash register price!
I also had a shockingly terrible experience at Nyla beauty supplies at 1000 - 9 ave sw, Calgary. After just getting hair extensions one week prior, I wanted to take them out due to itchiness. I walked into Nyla with my friend because she usually gets supplies there. When we first arrived, everything was normal and we were both engaging in a casual and friendly conversation with Emmanuel the owner. Then, my friend asked him his price for my current hair extentions. He then asks me how much I paid
Nyla is a great store and always has everything anyone looks for. The staff is knowledgeable of the products and their usage and advise clients accordingly. I'm a beauty business' owner and get most of my products, if not all, at Nyla's.
