BEST SUSHI! Echo Sushi would be one of the best places to eat AYCE sushi. They have the best selection sushi here! I love the variety of different rolls you get to choose from and that they have the option of brown rice too! They have gotten very creative with their rolls! The fish - especially the salmon, is always fresh. It just melts in your mouth! They also have some very good tempura and other kitchen items like the teriyaki. I would also recommend the rice bowls served in a steaming hot pot. Their prices are also very reasonable and affordable! They have different AYCE menus for the adventurous who enjoy sashimi or for the less adventurous who don't want the sashimi and still have AYCE sushi at a fraction of the cost! They currently also have a lunch buffet at a very generous price with A LOT of selections. If you do not want to eat AYCE, they also have a great a-la-carte menu and very affordable lunch specials. I have tried many other AYCE sushi places and none offer the variety and quality that Echo Sushi does. I would surely recommend this place !

I'm usually go to sushi restaurants further east...

I'm usually go to sushi restaurants further east and north, where the sushi places are really good. On weeknights, the price at good sushi places is around $20 (some even include all-you-can-drink beverages), and of course higher on the weekends. I paid $18.99 on a Wednesday night at Echo Sushi for their Buffet C without a drink. Since there wasn't a huge difference, I was expecting good sushi. I was wrong. Here's my break-down of my dining experience: 3 Buffet Choices - Great idea? Nope. They wouldn't let my party order different buffets. I understand they don't want us to share the more expensive food, but that also meant the two with me had to pay $2 extra each for me to get my sashimi. Afterall, why go to an All-You-Can-Eat if you're not going to fill up on sashimi? There are tons of places elsewhere who only serve sushi for MUCH less. Sasimi - The good thing was that the salmon sashimi was fresh. The bad thing was that the red snapper was not. It was soggy, not sweet and a bit of water was coming out of it. I avoided that after one round. Sushi - I mostly ordered the BBQ eel and flying fish eggs for the sushi. The flying fish eggs was not good at all - the fish eggs were squishy when they're supposed to be crunchy, and the rice was overcooked and sticky. Rolls - Baaad rolls. The rice was too sticky - it stuck to my teeth! And the seaweed was chewy and not fresh! Not good at all. Tempura - I thought this was a safe choice since it's deep-fried - how can you go wrong? But...the tempura wasn't authentic at all. It had no taste to it; plus, it was hard. Tempura batter should be crispy! And don't order the oyster; they use clams or mussels instead . A lot of other sushi places do this, but this place's "oysters" were small and really chewy. Service - Our waitress wasn't as rude as I had expected after reading other reviews of the restaurant before I went. But I didn't get the "you're welcomed" feeling or that she wanted me to return at all. She ignored us a couple of times and rudely told us "no" when we asked if we could choose different buffets. The Redeeming Factors: The green tea ice cream was good. They were really quick at clearing away empty plates. Oh, and the washroom was really clean. But I'd only return if I was only borrowing the washroom.

incredibly rude staff

All but one of us ordered the buffet. One ordered a la carte. The watress stood at the end of our table watching to ensure that the person who ordered a la carte didn't eat any of our buffet food. We didn't order any drinks at all. The bill was $150. I let the person who ordered a la carte taste a bite of my food and the watress gave me a lecture. There were a couple of sushi pieces left at the end and the watress charged $2 because of the couple of pieces remaining. The staff is rude, arrogant and condesending.

Extremely rude staff

Very rude staff, We had booked a table for 5 people in advance. When arrived there, nobody even came to the door to ask us what we are waiting for. We had to wait for about 20 minutes and finally they asked us to wait for more 10 minutes because they don't have any table!!! It was the rudest behaviour I had ever seen in a restaurant.
