Service was prompt and friendly. Margarita soup was incredible! Very unique flavours. You've never had jalapeno poppers like this before! Fresh, large and delicious without being too hot. Fish, tilapia, was cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes on the side were fabulous. Our margaritas were replenished quickly by our server, who was working all by herself on a busy weekday night. The Chile Colorado may be the best beef dish I've had that wasn't steak or curry. Compliments to the chef.
We visit this restaurant regularly. We have tried many restaurants in the Hamilton-Burlington area. Papagayo is our favourite, bar none. The soups are always a culinary adventure, and consistently awesome. My husband says that the fresh, scrumptiously lightly-breaded calamari is "the best". Our main pick always goes back to the Chiles Rellenos. It looks amazing,and is only surpassed by it's big flavour, with just a nice bit of heat on the after-bite. The ambience at Papagayo is bright and cheerful. The staff always extends a genuine warm welcome. As always, we look forward to our next visit.
I have been to this restaurant MANY times, and I've loved the food and service until recently. The past two times, my friend ordered vegetarian enchiladas. Both times, it came with chicken.
The first time, when re-served again, we found bits of chicken again! The second time, the food was not re-served until half an hour later, without any apologies or discounts.
I was very dissapointed and embarassed by the service of the restaurant. Had my friend been allergic or very religuous, this evening could have gone downhill.
Once is understandable, but twice is unacceptable.

I have been to this place a few times and it is normally good but i got weirded out this one time cause i got a lot of white hairs in my steak. I picked them off and finished the food but i am sure most people would have freaked out. Previous times i went there it was good and i didn't notice any hairs so i would give them another shot. I hope they start using hair nets or shave their heads.
i had dinner with a group of friends i haven't seen for awhile - we had a great time, food was delicious - followed their recommendations and we all loved it
