Hands down the best place to grab a bite and a cold one in Midland. Patio right on the water and excellent service as well as Live Entertainment - what's not to love! With only 2 vegetarian items on the menu, and a wedding party in the middle of their meal when we arrived, the odds of a great experience were not high but what a great surprise - two 10 out of 10 mains - a sage, beet risotto and a chickpea/cauliflower curry with roasted vegetables. We were served by Angus. Very friendly and gave us a lot of toruistic information on Collingwood and Blue Mountain. Food was amazing, husband had fish n chips and I chose the Thai prawn curry, dishes looked impeccable and the taste stood up to the looks. If we came again would definitely pay Kelsey’s a visit. This restaurant is the best for good food and friendly service. The staff are just amazing and don't mind talking to you and always make sure every thing is alright. The food is to die for. It is sooo good, the hard part is figuring out what to order because there is so much really good food. I would suggest to anyone that they dine here. There aren't many places in the area where one can get fish & chips, unless they drive to Barrie and go to Fancies Fish & Chips. Blue Water Fish & Chips is a small restaurant with a tired decor. Mind you there are historical photos of boats that have travelled Georgian Bay & the Great Lakes and are interesting to look at.. We love the halibut served here. While the portion size is small it is extremely tasty, with mild tasting halibut and a golden batter. After the second or third bite you can taste & feel the grease but isn't that to be expected with deep fried fish? I've never eaten fish & chips that I haven't tasted the grease. We hate it when the restaurant is closed for vacation. We love eating here and they even have lots of newspapers and reading material for those of us that prefer to read while we're eating. All we've ever ordered has been the fish & small chips or else we'll order 2 fish and a small chip each and we never go away hungry. Lire plus
