Breakfast at Jim’s is a must for the seasoned breakfast lover. It is worth the drive from one end of the GTA to the other to have the classic bacon and eggs North Americans have come to love. The peameal bacon eggs is absolutely awesome. There are three large pieces of peameal the size of pork chops, perfectly cooked eggs any way you order them, and your choice of homefry/hashbrown or french-fries, and my favourite real buttered white bread toast. The prices are very reasonable safely 10 – 30% less than a franchise breakfast place. The staff are very friendly, and hardworking and the breakfast at Jims experience will have you coming back again and again. This hidden little gem has been nestled in the Queen and Carlaw area for years, and you need to have the thick skin of a New Yorker to appreciate the nieghbourhood and this great spot to get a real breakfast. There has been a recent renovation and personally I am going to miss the 1950’s checkerboard floor tile but the new flooring and furniture are cozy. I have been taking my friends to this restaurant on weekends for the bacon and egg breakfast for years and we make it a priority to drive from the furthest ends of the GTA to meet in this little spot for our little breakfast club as often as our schedules permit.
