The Newfoundland Pub

Very friendly staff, really good fish and chips, wings, burgers, and weekend breakfasts WITH FRIED BALONEY - YEAH! The decor is tired but just like what you would find in small town Newfoundland. The washrooms are clean. If you go there just to eat, especially in the evenings and on weekends, be prepared for lots of rowdy barflies - this is very much a neighbourhood bar with loyal regulars.

THE BEST FISH & CHIP IN TOWN Very friendly bartender and waitress, this is an old pub, but it is a very friendly place to hang out!

Best wings in town

Big juicy wings, best in the city. Takes 20 minutes from time of ordering, so have a beer and be patient. Order them with the sauce already on. 10/10

Excellent price and value

The food is good. The decor looks old and tired but they serve the best fish & chips in Ottawa. The only dispointment was the parking. There was no parking available that night. Cheers!

This place needs real Newfoundlanders

I had looked forward to having a nice Newfie meal during our recent visit to Ottawa. But this was the greatest disappoint. The best part was the nice waitress, but food was horrid. The couple next to us left their platters 1/2 full as did we. This restaurant needs real Newfies to do the cooking, it needs a major makeover and it needs to be cleaned. Anyone up for the challenge could do well!

The place needs a good fire to change the decor. Really old and tired. The waitress was as friendly as can be but she was run off her feet. She was tending the bar and serving orders. Maybe someone called in sick. If you want a taste of home, the food is great. Good prices too. Friendly staff and patrons. Have lots of draught and you will fit just nice.
